Description:

A late 19th c French souvenir footed stand in gilt metal set with nine reverse-painted plaques with scenes of the landmarks of Paris including the Grand Palais. 11.5" X 9" X 2.5" Along with a sheet with two engravings of obelisks in private gardens in Rome, from a series of Roman monuments engraved by Giovanni Matti ca 1590. Sheet is 16.125" X 15.675". Each plate is 6" X 8.125".

  • Condition: Gilding worn, two glass plaques cracked. Prints are printed slightly off-register, binding holes in left margin. Some light foxing ad soiling
