A collection of five beaded drawstring purses, last quarter nineteenth century to second quarter twentieth century. Comprised of: a) a muted green beaded purse with blue and pink floral motif, embroidered rim, 5 x 6.75; b) a pink and white beaded purse with a large floral motif, green silk cord, antique lace rim, 7 x 10; c) a black microbeaded purse with a polychrome floral motif, fringed finial at base, 7.5 x 9.5; d) a blue open-top beaded purse with metallic gold diamond motif, fringed base, pleated rim, 6.5 x 9; e) a metallic beaded purse with chain and loop drawstring, fringed tassel at base, 6 x 8. All measurements approximate and do not include fringe; a mix of lined and unlined interiors, condition varies.
- Condition: Very good to near fine, with minor condition issues. These include (letters corresponding to description): a) fine; b) near fine, minor snags to lace; c) losses to fringed tassel, fraying and wear to top rim and drawstring; d) near fine; e) fabric worn, very minor bead loss.
